| All The King’s Voices is seeking your support as we reach out beyond our immediate community, by
giving our Concert patrons the opportunity to purchase candles and pottery
produced in the L’Arche Daybreak workshops in Richmond Hill. A fine selection of these items will be available for purchase during our concerts.
L’Arche, founded in France by
Jean Vanier, is an international federation of more than 100 communities
in nearly 30 countries, functioning on a philosophy of providing a working
and living environment of sharing and caring adults. The organization
focuses on helping people with developmental disabilities to learn new
skills in a supportive atmosphere.
L’Arche Charter: “Whatever their gifts or limitations, all people are
bound together in a common humanity. Everyone is of unique and sacred
value, and everyone has the same dignity and the same rights. The
fundamental rights of each person include the right to life, to a home, to
education and to work.”
L’Arche Daybreak Craft Studio is situated at the heart of a multi-use
property in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The Craft Studio, which contributes to
the general funding of Daybreak, is a self-sustaining craft oriented day
program for adults with a developmental disability. We are pleased to
offer a wide selection of variously shaped pillar type candles created in
the Daybreak Craft Studio. |
